So now they expect my son to live with his grandparents and that is OK? Who made this law? You know this is going to sound too filmy (because I am finished and done with crying after hearing the news), but you have rocked a mother's heart and if I have to move mountains I will. VFS or no VFS, UK or no UK, my son WILL stay with me.
Edit: Thanks U - its not VFS Chennai, but the border security agency. But VFS is not that great either. I have had bitter experinces with them in the UK for Shengen visas.

Very sorry to see this. It's not really VFS that makes the decision is it-the application is processed by UKBA officials? Do you have a good immigration lawyer?
The Hammersmith and Fulham Community Law Centre used to be very good reputation for immigration advice. I am a bit out of the loop now, but you could try them: http://www.hflawcentre.org.uk/
You could also try the Immigration Advisory Service: http://www.iasuk.org/home.aspx
You may be able to appeal at the First-tier Tribunal Immigration and Asylum Chamber-IAC, but get a lawyer first if you haven't already
How stupid can these immigration people be?? you have showed all the documents and still they refuse his visa. I felt bad reading this, I know you were really looking forward to seeing him and having him with you. Hang in there, do whatever it takes to get your son to stay with you.
Hugs
Deepa
